Maria Vasilaki currently serves as the Head of Physical Education and Athletics Director at an international school located in China. With over 20 years of experience, Maria has a distinguished career in coaching basketball and organizing sports events across multiple countries. A significant aspect of her role involves mentoring and cultivating soft skills in both young individuals and fellow coaches.
Throughout her career, Maria has demonstrated her coaching prowess in diverse locations such as Greece, England, Scotland, and Spain, with a focus on U16, U18, Stirling University, and Scotland National teams. Her leadership has consistently led to the achievement of numerous accolades and distinctions by the teams she has coached.
Beyond the realm of sports, Maria has also served as an Assistant Director for a weekly television series. In this capacity, she was responsible for creating schedules, coordinating crews and actors, and collaborating closely with the production team to ensure the seamless and efficient execution of sets.
Maria’s educational background includes a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Coaching from Stirling University (UK), a BA Hons in Communications, Culture, and Media from Coventry University (UK), and a Diploma in Shipping from SBE College (Greece).
She remains committed to continuous professional development, dedicating a substantial portion of her annual schedule to travel and attend workshops and clinics in various countries. This commitment ensures that she stays abreast of the latest industry trends and maintains the ability to craft effective courses.
