Captain James Foong received his ship Captain training in New Zealand Maritime School and passed the highest grade of seafarer qualification as a Master Mariner at age 28 certified by the Government of New Zealand, the youngest candidate during that year intake.
A maritime professional with high interest on shipping business and its sustainability strategies within the industry, with 15 years of working experience in maritime field, he spent most of his life at sea serving onboard vessels trading on international waters to assist in the world trade of international transport and logistics services. A member of The Nautical Institute London and NZ Company of Master Mariners. Awarded scholarship to pursue MBA in Shipping & Logistics from Middlesex University London, a program which accredited under CMI, Chartered Management Institute in United Kingdom.
