Jurgen Verreet is a shipping expert with over 15 years of experience in the sector. He holds a Master in Maritime Business from the University of Ghent and he is a member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.
He has worked as a contract manager at the Port of Antwerp and a shipping analyst at IHS Fairplay. His experience across the industry allows him to have a broad view of the sector and its challenges and the important features that any person aiming to work in the sector needs to understand.
In his most recent role, he supported the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers in the development and implementation of a large range of educational activities. This includes the supervision of the development of several of its books as well as the lead role in the development of its book on Shipping Economics.
